Tasting Notes

Fyne Brewery

Hurricaine Jack - 4.5% abv

A pale golden beer with an aroma of sweet malt and light fruity hops. Citrus flavours are prominent with tangerine notes with a subtle lemon kick on the end. Great thirst quencher and a delicious session beer.

 

Vital Spark  - 4.4% abv

A dark ruby red coloured beer with an aroma of berries and roasted malts. Flavours of dark fruity and roast malts develop to a long dry finish. Deliciously drinkable and a real cracker.

 

Avalanche  - 4.5% abv

This true golden ale starts with stunning citrus on the nose. Well- balanced with good body and fruit balancing with a refreshing hoppy taste, it finishes with a long bittersweet aftertaste.

 

Highlander  - 4.8% abv

A dark amber coloured bittersweet ale with an aroma of caramel malt and a hint of lemon. Taste of rich caramel malts with a touch of toffee and soft citrus flavours leading to a good bitter hoppy finish.

Williams Brothers Brewery

Fraoch - Heather Ale - 5.0% abv

The Original Craft Beer; brewed in Scotland since 2000 B.C. The Brotherhood have been guardians of the ancient Gaelic recipe for "leann fraoich" (heather ale) since 1988 and are proud to be the only brewery still producing this unique style of beer and distributing it world wide.  A light amber ale with floral peaty aroma, full malt character, and a spicy herbal finish

 

Joker IPA - 5.0% abv

Golden in the glass, fruity on the nose with hints of cedar. Joker IPA is Bitter/Sweet, full of flavour and is sure to put a smile on your face.

 

Juniper Ale  - 3.7% abv

Flavoured with Juniper berries. Starts with a tart berry note which goes to produce a dry and bitter finish.

 

Seven Giraffes  - 5.1% abv

A deep gold with aroma's of elderflower and citrus hops, followed by sweet caramel. On the tongue the biscuity malts are perfectly balanced with the bitterness of the hops, freshness of the lemon & lingering floral elderflower aftertaste.

 

Grozet  - 5.0% abv

 A Pale golden brew, that is cold stored with gooseberries to deliver a sharp refreshing drinking experience.

The Wee Blonde - % abv

Crail Ale  - 4.5% abv

Pale Ale with a full on citrus punch, loads of Grapefruit and lime from the distinctive Columbus hop.

 

IPA  - 5.0% abv

This big, bold, bitter IPA not only shows off a super hop kick but a depth of orange and tropical fruit flavours that are both refreshing and complex. Crammed full of four aromatic hop varieties, a fantastically tasty beer.

 

54.46 Columbus  - 5.0% abv

Taking inspirations from one of my favourite songs to brew to, and my baby girl Isla’s favourite song to dance to (Toots And The Maytals ’54-46 That’s My Number’), the 54-46 Series is a rang of limited guest beers brewed with 54% Pale Malt and 46% Wheat. Each beer is single-hopped to allow the full flavours of the hop to shine through.

 

Oatmeal Stout  - 4.5% abv

A smooth, full-bodied Scottish Oatmeal Stout: with five different varieties of malt plus oatmeal flakes the resulting complexity of flavours weave together delivering strong coffee, chocolate and dark fruit flavours balanced against a blend of UK, American and New Zealand hops to create a rich, silky after taste.

MòR Brewery

MóR Calm & Wise  - 3.4% abv

A golden, yellow coloured ale bursting with zingy hops. A pepper and lemon flavour with a very smooth aftertaste.

 

MóR Ish!  - 4.2% abv

A bright amber ale with a malty, fruity aroma and a well-balanced and controlled bitter finish - definitely MóR ish!

 

MóR Please!  - 4.5% abv

This clean-tasting, full-bodied golden bitter, bursting with malt and hops is a session ale in the making. There’s just a hint of honey with a good hoppy finish. It will not be long before you will hear yourself saying - MòR Please!

 

MóR Ticia  - 4.5% abv

A full-bodoed Stout with a hint of Vimto and a perfect dark chocolate aftertaste.

Eden Brewery

The Clock  - 4.3% abv

A classic Scottish red ale with a hint of pepperiness and hops up front giving way to a smooth multi layer finish.

 

19th Brew  - 3.9% abv

A refreshing, deliciously drinkable and well balanced Golden Beer, with a hint of citrus and slightly hoppy character.

 

St Andrews Blonde - 3.8% abv

A refreshing drinkable beer. It has loads of hoppy attitude, and a flavour profile spanning apricot to pineapple and grapefruit.

 

Shipwreck - 6.0% abv

Refreshing, tropical fruit aroma with a mellow floral hop character, which leads to a dense hoppy body. A good bitterness develops alongside ripe, fruity notes, mellowing into a gentle, sweet finish.

 

Kilted Kittock - 4.0% abv

Copper in colour from the rich local malts used giving this beer a light roasted palate matched by the orange and tropical fruit aromas

 

Inveralmond Brewery

Independence - 3.8% abv

a classic, full bodied and malty beer with subtle hints of mixed fruits and punches of spice. A perfect balance of Pilgrim and Saaz hops delivers a high quality, nicely rounded ale, with earthy and slightly spicy notes.

 

Barneys Good Ordinary Pale Ale  - 3.8% abv

Gold coloured, a good honest full-bodied pale ale with a subtle citrus & spicy hop finish.

 

Ossian - 4.1% abv

A pale, golden coloured brew with a full bodied fruity flavour with distinct nutty tomes and a hoppy, zesty, orange aroma.

 

Thrappledouser  - 4.3% abv

A golden copper coloured ale, which has a thick and creamy off-white head that laces your glass all the way to the bottom, leaving you wanting more. A marriage of Pilgrim, East Kent Goldings and Cascade hops presents a delicate citrus aroma and a unique spicy floral taste.

 

Homecoming Scotland  - 4.2% abv

An exuberant ale which displays berry sweetness on the palate and aromatic hoppiness, Homecoming Scotland Beer has been crafted to encapsulate the energy and presence of our incredible nation in 2014.

Punk IPA - 5.6 abv **
This 5.6% trans-atlantic fusion IPA is light golden in colour with tropical fruits and light caramel on the nose. The palate soon becomes assertive and resinous with the New Zealand hops balanced by the biscuit malt. The finish is aggressive and dry with the hops emerging over the warming alcohol.

Traditional - 4.4% abv

Delicious, full-bodied session cider.

 

Original - 7.2% abv

Still & smooth farmhouse cider.

 

Whisky Cask - 6.9% abv

Glenglassaugh cask matured, grown up cider

 

Root Ginger - 4.0% abv

Our cider is matured with fresh-pressed root ginger. A medium dry, full bodied, spicy drink. Refreshing in summer, reviving in winter. Can be served over ice or steaming hot. A Cidershed favourite.

 

Strawberry - 4.0% abv

Cider is matured with masses of pressed real Scottish strawberries to make a full bodied, fruit-driven, quenching drink. Rich in colour, the mouth is full of fruit with a clean refreshing finish.

 

Elderflower- 4.0% abv

Our flavoursome Elderflower Cider packs a serious taste punch. Blended with fresh elderflowers, colour is caramel. Fruity nose & dry on the palate. Refreshing, distinctive & zesty; crafted with care & pride.
